SENATE ROUNDTABLE ON DRUG ABUSE IN NIGERIA 18-19 DECEMBER 2017
The organization attended a two-day workshop organized by the Senate Committee on drug-related issues at Bristol Palace Hotel. Kano. This was aimed at addressing Nigeria’s drug challenges through three main strategic objectives developed and adopted by the federal government in the National Drug Control Master Plan (NDCMP) 2015-2019, namely:
Law enforcement

- Drug demand reduction
- Availability, access, and control of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursor chemicals for medical and scientific purposes.
The Executive Director of IYECF presented a paper at the occasion on “The impact of Drug Abuse on our societies.”
